             D & M originally stood for Don & Mike, in ‘03 Don semi-retired and Mark took over.  The name stayed the same and it was still a family business. 

             Don Gallagher was born in Pittsburg, PA.  He joined the Air Force and spent over 20 years traveling all over the world serving our country.  He met Mary Fitzpatrick while stationed in England.  The were married there and had Michael.  From there they were re-stationed back in the states in Don’s home state of PA where Matthew was born just over 2 years later.  Michelle was born almost 4 years after Matt in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Then the Gallagher family headed back across the pond to England where Mark was born in ‘79, about six and a half years after Michelle.  Needless to say she was a little disappointed that he was another boy.  They lived in England until ‘88 when Don was stationed at Hill Air Force Base here in UT. 

             Don retired from the Air Force and started a small service and repair shop on Wall Ave in Ogden UT with his eldest son Mike.  Mike and Matt had already graduated from high school before the family left England.  Matt followed in his dads footsteps and joined the Air Fore also.  Michelle and Mark would later graduate from Davis High in Kaysville, UT. 

             Mark worked at the shop part time during the summers while in school and then went full time when he graduated in ‘97.  Mary (mom) worked in the office while Don, Mike and Mark worked in the shop.  In ‘98 they moved their operation about 4 blocks down the street to their current location where they built a larger 6 bay shop.  This offered a lot more room to provide the quality automotive repair they were known for. 

             In the last 10 years the family has passed some major milestones, 2 weddings, 3 babies (all girls too!), Mary passed away after a long battle with breast cancer, and a few houses bought and sold.  Through it all D & M continues to thrive and they are constantly implementing new and advanced techniques to save money for their customers which increases their customer loyalty.  They have many longtime customers who have been with them since their doors first opened in 1988. 

             D & M offers all basic automotive repairs and regular service packages as well as more technical repair options.  They are ASE certified in Brakes and A/C, and have performed thousands of Safety and Emission inspections over the years.
